DesignEX is an event predominantly for the interior design and architecture industries.
Cielab attended this event showcasing HP Designjet T-series printer plotters for technical industries, as well as showcasing the potential of HP Latex with PVC Free wallpaper as a completely “green” solution for totally custom designs.
On display was the HP Designjet T2300 wide format printer and scanner all in one. This small footprint packs a lot of punch, with no need for a computer any more this printer runs from a USB thumb drive, from the unique HP “ePrint & Share” cloud based system, or from new driverless printing technology if you want to print from your PC. 2 rolls can be loaded at one time into the printer, the wide format scanner can be used at the same time as the printer is printing. It’s a game changer in the plotting marketplace and it’s success in sales of the equipment recognises HP’s strength and 25 years experience in creating wide format solutions.
Also on display was the HP Designjet L26500 Latex printer, printing custom wallpaper and textiles. Specifically on demonstration was HP’s PVC Free wallpaper, non destructive, environmentally friendly, and no smell / VOC free. This pre-pasted recyclable paper is safe for use in OH&S sensitive locations such as schools, hospitals, or children’s bedrooms. Simple to install and wear resistant it meets all the modern requirements but while still maintaining excellent image quality and versatility.
From Wacom, we demonstrated the Cintiq 24HD pen display. The design pen screen was well received with many stopping by to have a draw with the interactive screen.
