RGB online custom profile production

We have just introduced a new service for online RGB Printer profile creation at a very low cost of $150 +GST.

These profiles will be generated with the top end equipment (Barbieri Electronic "SpectroSwing") to obtain the best possible accurate results.

 

This is suitable for a RGB printer profile meaning that this type of profile will not work with a Rip. It is more commonly used by people not as critical about colour to spend the money on rip software, one very common example of this is the way Epson have promoted this as their RGB colour workflow to the market.

It's as simple as download the target below, turn off colour management in the printer driver, load the media you would like to profile, and print the target out. Send the printed target to us and we will generate a unique ICC profile and email it back to you.

Allow the print to fully dry (an absolute minimum of 30mins depending on the media type), package the printed target carefully so as to not damage the printed surface in any way, and send it to us along with an email to notify us that it's coming. We will generate the profile and email it back within 7 days from receipt of the printed target and payment.

You should be careful to not touch the print area that the target will go onto both before and after printing, this can leave marks on the coating from the oils that naturally occur in our skin. This could cause a false reading on the profile. This is good practice anyway and many people use white cotton gloves to handle inkjet media to overcome this.

 

PLEASE NOTE: Each unique combination of printer, media, ink, and resolution will require a different profile as any change here will make the profile redundant and potentially incorrect. This price is not for translucent or reverse lit/backlit films as these are created by different equipment. This type of profile will offer more accurate printed results than using generic profiles on the wrong stock, although does not guarantee that that media/printer/ink combination is capable of achieving the desired results. Also because this type of profile does not allow for printer calibration the results may vary over time as climate and printing conditions may vary.
